By placing an order with Crik and Critters, the customer acknowledges and agrees to the following Terms of Service. These terms are intended to protect both the customer and Crik and Critters while ensuring clear expectations throughout the ordering and building process.
All custom enclosures, backgrounds, and other custom-built products are made specifically for the customer. Because these products are customized, all sales are final and no refunds or returns are accepted once materials have been purchased or work has begun.
Customers are responsible for reviewing and approving their design, measurements, materials, and requested features before construction begins.
Material costs may be required upfront before construction begins. Work will not begin until the required payment has been received.
Custom builds may take up to one month to complete or longer.
The estimated completion time begins once the required payment has been received and necessary materials have been ordered.
Turnaround times may vary due to:
Shipping delays
Supplier delays
Material availability
Backordered products
Unexpected construction issues
Customer-requested changes
Crik and Critters will make reasonable efforts to complete orders as quickly as possible; however, delays caused by suppliers, shipping carriers, or circumstances outside of our control are not considered a failure to fulfill the order.
Crik and Critters takes care to package products as securely as reasonably possible before shipment.
However, Crik and Critters is not responsible for damage caused by the shipping carrier, mishandling, delays, or improper transportation after the package has left our possession.
Customers should inspect their package immediately upon delivery and document any visible damage to the packaging or product.
Bioactive enclosures may contain live plants and other natural materials.
Plant death is a natural possibility and is not covered by our warranty or refund policy.
Plants can experience stress or shock when being transported, sanitized, replanted, or introduced into a new enclosure. This may result in:
Wilting
Leaf loss
Discoloration
Plant shock
Plant death
These outcomes are considered a natural risk of using live plants and do not qualify for a refund, replacement, or discount.
Customers are responsible for providing appropriate lighting, temperature, humidity, watering, and other care required by the individual plant species.
Our wood is all sanitized via soaking and baking soda, then pressure washed to remove loose dirt, all is kept in a secure location. This wood is found in southern colorado. These methods are not full proof but we will never provide a piece of wood we believe to have had termites/ants/etc.
Crik and Critters prioritizes the safety and well-being of the animals housed in or around our products. However, reptiles, amphibians, fish, and other animals are living organisms and can behave unpredictably.
Customers are responsible for properly inspecting and maintaining their enclosure before introducing an animal.
Customers should regularly inspect:
Doors and locks
Screens and ventilation
Heating equipment
Lighting equipment
Backgrounds and decorations
Plants and substrate
Any other enclosure components
If an enclosure or component becomes damaged, loose, or unsafe, the animal should be removed from the enclosure until the issue has been corrected.
Crik and Critters is not responsible for injury, illness, escape, or death resulting from improper setup, improper maintenance, misuse, modification, incorrect environmental conditions, or failure to follow appropriate animal-care guidelines.
Some reptiles, particularly certain gecko species, may naturally drop their tails when stressed, frightened, injured, or otherwise threatened.
Tail loss is not covered under our warranty, refund, or replacement policy.
Crik and Critters is not responsible for tail loss, injury, or other physical changes that occur after an animal has been transferred to the customer's care.
Customers are responsible for providing proper handling, enclosure conditions, and care to minimize unnecessary stress or injury.
Once a design has been approved and construction has begun, changes requested by the customer may result in additional costs and/or additional completion time.
Any changes that require additional materials or labor may require payment before the changes are completed.
